Fall Equinox Women's Evening Retreat: A Time for Release

Come celebrate this mystically energetic and healing time of year…

Nature has such incredible power and wisdom - a power that can both guide and heal us… During this fall season, Nature offers us the the powerful and wise example of release - so incredibly important at this time of heightened challenge, stress, fear and anxiety in the world. We will join together to heal through the time-honored practices of communal contemplation, meditation, music, and the sacred practice of walking a labyrinth at sunset.

This powerful workshop was intentionally created to allow us to gather in person or to participate virtually if you prefer, or are out of the area.

An initial orientation will be held via Zoom during which time we will explore how this time of Fall Equinox and the wisdom of nature’s example can help us to release all that is covering the heart - that which is causing us worry, doubt, sorrow, anxiety - all that is clouding the mind and keeping us from experiencing beauty and light and joy.

We will then use the powerful practice of walking a labyrinth to assist us in this letting go… After the Zoom session there will then be a short break for dinner after which we will gather at a beautiful labyrinth outside of Lawrence, KS, for a sunset labyrinth experience. Those who are joining from other areas are encouraged to find a labyrinth in their area to walk for the final portion of the evening. Resources for a meaningful labyrinth experience will be provided - whether you are attending in person or virtually.

EARLY BIRD RATE - $45 (Through midnight, Sunday 9/19)
Regular Rate - $55

What exactly is a labyrinth walk?

The labyrinth we will be walking is on a beautiful piece of land on the Kansas prairie, carefully created by David Bartholomew and tended to David and his partner Joan Clark. They offer this wonderful description:

“Call it a prayer walk, meditation, think time or just a walk on sacred, stewarded land—you will feel burdens ease and fears quiet as you spiral in, then back out of the labyrinth. At its most basic level the labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are… More than anything, it’s a metaphor for life: Put one foot in front of the other, accept that there will be twists and turns, and you’ll eventually get to where you’re going.”
