Lovingkindness is one of the most powerfully nourishing — and at the same time practical — practices we can use to find balance and ease in these challenging times in which we are living.
It is an incredibly tender practice that teaches us to live in a way that is gentler and kinder — towards ourselves as well as others, the Earth, and Life itself.
It is a way of being in the world with an attitude of friendliness towards all beings, including ourselves, a way that cultivates the wellbeing and happiness of all, which of course, includes ourselves.
This practice is at once aspirational, inspirational and practical, with real life applications that can impact our lives in deeply meaningful and expansive ways.
In this daylong retreat we will have time to really step deeply into this practice, learning to hold ourselves with the utmost kindness, as we also learn to extend this same tenderness and kindness towards all beings.
This is the magic and power of lovingkindness. It moves us from feeling closed off from the world to feeling connected to others. It allows us to be in the world in a way that is kinder and gentler. It allows us to see the common ground of our being – even with those with whom we may disagree – that we all have our measure of suffering, and that we all desire to be loved, to be happy, to be accepted as we are.
All of which is so very needed at this moment of time in our world - both in our personal lives, but also in the larger world where there is so much animosity, division, and suffering.
I hope you will join me for this sacred time.

Mask-wearing will be at the discretion of the participant. Retreat sessions will be held in a room with French doors which open onto an outdoor courtyard.
