Breathing through covid (and the election!):
A 6-Week Online Course For Women

October 16 - November 20, 2020
Fridays 12-1:30 p.m. (CT)

“Cindy is sooo warm-hearted! Her classes allow the space to be both profound and supportive but also light and joyful… like a sunny clearing of wildflowers in the middle of a gloomy, dark forest. Very inspiring!” ~ Lesley Rigney, Conservationist

In this time of unprecedented tumult and challenge, almost everyone I know is seeking relief. There is so much fear, anxiety, uncertainty. What can we do to nurture ourselves, to find calm and peace, even amidst the concurrent challenges of the ongoing pandemic, racial justice reckoning, economic hardship, catastrophic climate events, and political divisiveness surrounding the upcoming US election—and the uncertainty, worry and fear that come with them?

It can be easy to become overwhelmed by it all. How can we find our center amidst these ongoing storms?

We begin by pausing. By breathing. By taking a moment out to develop tools that can help us return to our center, to hold ourselves—and then others—with utmost care. It is then—and only then—that we can then find the sustenance, courage and hope we need to move forward in the world in all the ways we are being called to.

This course will offer mindfulness practices, self-care and nourishment practices, breathing techniques, and a variety of other tools that will help develop a healthier perspective, balance, inner peace, resilience - and hope - during this time of challenge.

Registration for the current class is now open.

  • Finding Joy and Hope—and the Importance of These—in Times of Challenge

  • Cultivating Gratitude

  • Befriending Fear

  • Developing Compassion—for Oneself and Others

  • Alleviating Suffering in Our Lives and in the World

Coming together in a supportive group environment with an experienced facilitator is a powerful experience and allows for validation and support as we learn to face this challenging time in a more healthy way—together.

Cindy has a lovely way of covering all of us with a warm blanket of love and kindness. Her methods made me feel safe and more willing to share - and I loved the Zoom format! I could be in my comfy spot and in my comfy clothes which made for a very relaxed atmosphere, while still allowing for intimacy. ~ LuAnn W., Former Course Participant

Each session of this six-week course will offer perspectives on one or more of the above topics. Various tools for enhanced wellbeing and balance will be taught during each session that can then be implemented and practiced at home, between sessions.

FAQ

What if I no prior experience with mindfulness?

No prior experience is necessary. I will simply be drawing from my own experience as a mindfulness meditation practitioner and teacher to enhance the richness and efficacy of the course.

What if I can't make all 6 sessions?

It is best, of course, to attend all sessions, if possible, as this allows for the greatest cohesion of the group as well as understanding of the material. However, I fully understand that sometimes a class must be missed due to prior commitments, illness or emergencies. In the event that you need to miss a class, I will send a follow-up note with a synopsis of what was covered, as well as the homework for the week.

What payment methods do you accept?

There are a variety of payment options. You may pay with a credit card, via PayPal, which also allows for direct bank payments, or you may pay via check.

Whichever payment method you choose, please note that registration is not final and your space is not secure until payment has been received.

If you are interested in setting up a PayPal account, it is easy and free. All you need to set up an account is an email address and a credit card. Click here for instructions: How to Set Up Your PayPal Account.

What if I have to cancel?

In the event of a cancellation, the refund policy is as follows:
